Since the inception in 1990, People Magazine’s ‘World’s Most Beautiful People’ list has celebrated the A-listed beauties. From growing popularity to widespread distribution and an extensive fan base of dedicated readers, People highlights celebrity gossip, lifestyle stories, and personal interest articles featuring everyday people. Once a year, the hit magazine runs a special issue of the most beautiful people in the world. So many stunning women have had huge years in Hollywood, but only one gets the honor of being named People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman!
It’s most beautiful people list originated in the early ninety and has since become the focal point of many discussions and, yes, even arguments. Celebrities secretly (and not so secretly) wish to see their names on the list while everyday people like us only dream of the achievement. While many dream of being named to the list once, the truth is that the list has been around long enough that some stars have been featured multiple times as timeless figures of beauty and grace. That’s right, not once but twice!
Continuing the tradition of last 25th year, the magazine has announced their World’s Most Beautiful People list for 2016 as well.! This year, the title goes to Jennifer Aniston. Here we have all the details of the top female beauties around the world who have topped the magazine’s list this year.See which other women earned a coveted spot on the annual list.
We already knowthat Jennifer Aniston has been named People magazine’s Most Beautiful Womanin 2016 and the former Friends star will grace the cover People’s next issue. So congratulations are in order for her as the gorgeous actress has officially been named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman by ‘People’ magazine again for 2016 (it is the second time she’s won the title as Aniston was named Most Beautiful in 2004 as well) and it couldn’t be more deserving.Aniston has been named GQ‘s Woman of the Year in 2005 and Men’s Health’s Sexiest Woman Alive in 2011. Also in 2011, she accepted an award at the Spike Guy’s Choice ceremony for her “Decade of Hotness.” In addition to her television work and award-winning looks, Aniston has appeared in numerous film roles. She is well known for comedies like “Horrible Bosses” and “We’re the Millers,” and turned in a rare dramatic performance in the 2014 film “Cake.”
Aniston declared herself “very, very flattered” by the honor. “There was sort of a very excited, a sort of teenager-y kind of a moment of feeling very, very flattered,” she said. She then added that her definition of beauty goes beyond clothes and outer appearance. But the key to beauty, Aniston insisted, for her or anyone, is what’s inside. Her definition of beauty is “Inner confidence. Peace. Kindness. Honesty. A life well-lived,” she told the magazine. “Taking on challenges and not feeling shame for things that haven’t gone the way you felt they should have. And not feeling like a failure or allowing people to critique your life and make you feel like you’ve failed at something. That’s just toxic noise.”
It’s true what they say: Self-confidence truly blossoms as the years pass – at least that’s what the Oscar winner has experienced. “Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin. I feel better – so much better now than I ever did in my twenties,” Witherspoon tells. “I am calmer; I know who I am. And as a result I feel much beautiful.”She counts women such as Gloria Steinem, Lauren Hutton and Brigitte Bardot as her beauty icons Jennifer Anniston has become the most beautiful in Hollywood.
Reese Witherspoon, who just turned 40, celebrated his 2nd place in the list among the most beautiful women of the world. She is an actress who had a very strong stretch of roles in her movies. With her it’s true what they say: Self-confidence truly blossoms as the years pass – at least that’s what the Oscar winner has experienced. “Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin. I feel better – so much better now than I ever did in my twenties,” Witherspoon tells. “I am calmer; I know who I am. And as a result I feel much beautiful. “She is continuously surprising her audience with her performance. After snapping up the rights to the books Gone Girl and Wild, and turning both into hit films complete with Oscar nominations, Reese Witherspoon has become, per the Wall Street Journal, an influential literary tastemaker in Hollywood. Long way to go Reese.
Sofia Vergara, 43 is decorating the 3rd place in the list. When it comes to confidence, the Modern Family actress has it down, opting choosing to show a little skin for a boost. “Confident people have a way of carrying themselves that makes others more attracted to them,” Vergara tells. Latin women are very comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality. We aren’t afraid to show that off a little bit more.”
In 2014, she was also ranked as the 32nd most powerful woman in the world by Forbes. But when she was a kid, her brothers used to tease her relentlessly for her stick-thin shape. That all changed, of course, when she hit puberty. “I was still skinny but suddenly I had these big boobs,” she says. “It was terrible! I used to tell my mother, ‘I’m going to cut these off as soon as I turn 18.'” Fortunately, Sofia Vergara learned to appreciate her figure—and even flaunt it. With her glamorous style, curvy shape, and Latin genes, sexy comes naturally to Sofia. But for those of us not “born with it,” or who just need an extra shot of mojo now and then, here are her tips for living a passionate life.
Keke Palmer secured the 4th place of the list. The Scream Queens star is a force to be reckoned with – not only when it comes to her successful acting and singing careers, but also with her inherent need to voice her opinion, particularly when it involves talk of her sexuality. “I don’t feel the need to define nothin’ to nobody, because I’m always changing. Why say that I’m this or that when I might not be tomorrow?” she tells PEOPLE of her thoughts on labels. “I’m gonna follow my own feelings and my own heart.”
Actually Keke Palmer doesn’t subscribe to labels. Having wrapped production on Ryan Murphy’s campy co-ed slasher series Scream Queens, the former child star is putting more time into her music career and prepping for an upcoming album. In October, Palmer released her music video for her new single “IDon’t Belong to You.” And the steamy clip, which finds the Nickelodeon alum in various stages of undress and, at the end, winding up with a woman, sparked buzz about Palmer’s sexuality. And she answered it pretty confidently saying “I’m making the rules for myself, and I don’t have to be stuck down to one label.” So being in the 4th place for this courageous women is quite obvious. Keep going Keke …
The next beautiful person who is in the 5th place is no other than Selena Gomez. What makes the “Same Old Love” singer beautiful? Aside from the obvious, Gomez is also refreshingly honest – especially when it comes to body image and self-confidence, issues only a handful of stars have addressed in the past. As for Gomez, she’s been very open about the struggles of really learning to love herself fully. The singer battled through Lupus and Leukemia when the media started calling her out on her weight gain. Being as strong as Gomez is, she rose above the horrible situation and learned from it. “It hurt my feelings because I never experienced that before, but I didn’t want [that] to be my story,” Gomez told of being the target of body shaming. “So I said, ‘I don’t care what you think’ … I’m learning that you can be comfortable and still look beautiful.'””
