Long way to go, Keep dreaming! -With this motto Gallery KARIKOR & Street Children LEEDO has just organized an art camp titled Art for Dream at Peace Home, Washpur, Keraniganj nearby Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Renowned Artist and Right Activist Shahana Mojumder played a vital role in this camp as Mentor and guide children to create professional artworks.
These artworks will be exhibited on 19-21 September, 2019 at British Council, Dhaka where Honorable British High Commissioner, Deputy British High Commissioner and a delegation team of British MPs from UK Parliament will be present with the government and corroborate personalities. Besides, hundreds of cultural minded and charity lover people will participate.
It’s mentionable that the raised fund from the exhibition will be donated to LEEDO for developing the life and lifestyle of less fortunate street connected children. With the children of Peace Home, Artist Shahana Mojumder will donate some artworks as charity and join in the exhibition as artist.
Street Children LEEDO is working for the less fortunate and most vulnerable street connected children for many years. In this journey LEEDO established a permanent home for homeless rescued street children. From this home eight children participated in Street Child Cricket World Cup-2019 in this year on April-May in UK and played semifinal with champion India as proud representative of Bangladesh.
This type of creative event help the traumatized children to get rid from trauma and it works like mental therapy for refreshing their mind as stated Forhad Hossain, Executive Director of LEEDO. This kind of initiatives will help to find out latent talent from them and it will help them to be extrovert that is very essential for leadership stated Artist & Right Activist Shahana Mojumder.
